Commissioning Services sets to work and supports operating plant throughout its life. The department specialises in commissioning, operation and reliability, process optimisation, plant performance testing and environmental control, together with many other issues of importance in asset management.
Our skills and experience cover utility, industrial and marine boilers along with the full range of associated equipment and systems. This applies not only to newly built plant, but also to plants that have undergone major modifications, overhauls or extended shutdowns.

We commission in accordance with proven methodologies, which are continuously updated in line with latest plant technologies and legislation. By ensuring the correct operation of a plant's mechanical, electrical and C&I equipment our Commissioning Services team deliver effective and efficient results, not only offering peace of mind to our clients but also ensuring that they can achieve their investment objectives.

Our engineers are supported by the depth of knowledge and capability of the whole Doosan Babcock organisation ensuring an expert response to any issues identified in the field.

Commissioning Services operates from two key locations within the UK:

* Our central Commissioning Services team is based out of the Corporate Headquarters in Crawley and primarily focuses on the fossil field based operations, travelling and working directly on our client's sites across the UK and overseas.
* Our Nuclear Commissioning Services team is based out of the Westlakes office in Cumbria and predominantly services the nuclear site of Sellafield.

As a graduate in this area of the business you will also gain experience in plant life inspections and failure investigations, as well as assisting with training on a wide range of subjects and preparing operation and maintenance manuals and other technical documentation both in house and for external clients.
Launching your career on our industry recognised graduate programme will not only provide you with an overview of our business, but by completing your individual two year placement programme, you will develop the knowledge, skills and competencies in your own field of expertise while gaining an insight into other disciplines and building commercial awareness.
Based from either our Corporate Headquarters in Crawley or our Sellafield site, there will be a requirement for travel across the UK during your two year placement programme; there is also the opportunity for you to be involved in overseas projects. On successful completion of the graduate training programme a role within Commissioning Services would be field based and if with our fossil operations, involve extensive travel across the UK and Overseas.

We are looking for graduates for both our fossil and nuclear operations with ambition and a professional attitude towards their work. The role requires self motivation, initiative thinking and good communication ability.
