Job opportunity - Technical Service Engineer, DIAB

DIAB is a Swedish owned international company that develops, manufactures and sells foam core materials for the composite industry that. We have become the world leader within our niche; structural foam core materials for sandwich construction. Our products sold under the trade name of Divinycell are used in applications with high demands on strength and stiffness in combination with low component weight. We have productions units in Laholm (Sweden), Italy, US, India, China and Australia. Our head office is located in Laholm, centrally situated on the west coast of Sweden in-between Helsingborg and Halmstad.

We are looking for a Technical Service Engineer to be placed at our Laholm office.
As a Technical Service Engineer, you will be a part of our European sales organization and work with providing our customers technical support on our products and how they are to be used for different types of manufacturing processes. You will also be involved in both internal and customer specific development projects and will be required to travel throughout Europe.

The job scope includes:
- Interaction with our European sales force, end customers and internal personnel to provide optimized core solutions and transfer the design specifications to other department.
- Material and process optimization to provide competitive solution to our customers
- Provide our customers with product and process support on the DIAB product range
- Participate in the development and evaluation new/custom solutions of core processing

The candidate shall:
- Be a self driven engineer with a desire to develop and find solutions
- Have a practical side - a "hands on" approach for solving problems
- Be fluent in written and spoken English and prepared to travel throughout Europe
- Be flexible and adapt to changing requirements
- Preferably have an Engineering education, B.Sc. or equivalent
