About the role
Energy Network's Purchasing Department meets the business's needs for materials and services and acts as a business partner to other departments within E.ON. You will be a part of a team that is highly motivated, business orientated and passionate about what we do. Working together and delivering on our promises are values that we live by!
We are now looking for a Category Leader who will be responsible for steering all strategic and tactical sourcing activities for the international category Primary Substations. You will functionally lead a team of 10+ International Category Managers across multiple regions in the different business areas across Europe. Other examples of responsibilities will be:
·        Defining E.ON's sourcing strategy for international category of Primary substations including value creation & saving potentials, standardization of specifications, supplier development and innovation for the all business units
·        Collaboration with technical experts and stakeholders to ensure successful development and implementation of the category strategies
·        Detect, report, and analyze market opportunities and their impact on the business
·        Support E.ON in driving Sustainability (Environmental, Health & Safety and Governance) together with and towards both business and suppliers.
Who we’re looking for
We believe that you have experience within Supply Chain and in developing strategies. You are business orientated with an eagerness to optimize the current business, by developing and implementing new tools and methods. We hope that you have experience, or really looking forward to, working as a functional leader in an international environment.  Your ability to build valuable relationships and your holistic perspective and analytical skills will help you to succeed in this role.
