The total purchasing volume for Sandvik Tooling is approximately 8 billion SEK per annum.A strategically very important portion of this is carbide raw materials.The current Lead Buyer within this category is moving on to other challenges within Sandvik Tooling and therefore, we are now looking for his successor.Key performance areas We have a network-based model, which means that your ability to lead multi-functional international teams is important, as well as the ability to sell new ideas.The role includes responsibility for large and long term business relations.You will be supported by a senior member of staff, who reports directly to you.Your profile You have an academic degree within technology and/or business, combined with long experience of a commercial management role, preferably related to the raw material markets.A genuine interest in production matters and proven negotiation skills from a larger international corporation are prerequisites for this position.Your communication skills are very strong and you have fluency in English, both verbal and written.Being result-oriented, in combination with a long term perspective and high personal integrity, is also important.The job will require some travel.The position is based in Sandviken. Sandvik Tooling is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global market-leading manufacturer of tools and tooling systems for cutting operations as well as of blanks and components.Annual sales 2009 were about SEK 19,000 M with 15,000 employees.Products are manufactured in cemented carbide, high-speed steel and other hard materials such as diamond, cubic boron nitride and special ceramics.
