The Schedule Team is a crucial part of the Program Management Office (PMO). The team constructs and maintains all official program schedules. The program schedules capture the entire scope of work for the program, including the projected timeline, as well as key program dependencies and deliverables. Schedule data is used to communicate the overall program status to the client.


We are looking for a Lead Scheduling Engineer to support our growing business within the Cerner International Program Management Office (PMO). As a Lead Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and implementing program master schedules and processes for contracts with local, regional, and national government clients. You will own and manage the strategy and execution for the Schedule Team within the Cerner International PMO.


As the Lead Scheduling Engineer, you will be a vital member of the Cerner International Program Management Office (PMO). You will direct and manage the operational planning, organization, and maintenance of the program master schedules. You will be responsible for the creation of the overall Program Schedule Management Strategy. You will analyze the proposal and contract documents to create a comprehensive master program and project schedules via identifying project phases, forecasting time and resource estimates, considering appropriate sequencing of project phases and tasks, capturing project dependencies, and tracking availability of funding and resources. You will establish program schedule best practices in accordance with industry standards. You will oversee a team of schedule analysts and monitor the delivery against project schedules, ensuring all program scope requirements are met. You will engage with Program Leadership and regularly communicate operational trends, as well as overall schedule performance, including risk, financial, and contractual impacts to program schedules. You are responsible for interpreting schedule data for the client and ensuring it remains in alignment with client needs and goals.


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or 4 years related work experience
Plus 6 years higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including:
At least 3 years project/program management work experience



Preferred Qualifications:

Fluent in Swedish
At least 3 years experience in Cerner implementations
At least 6 years experience in schedule management
Microsoft Projects experience
Must have exceptional organizational and stakeholder engagement skills with an acute attentional to detail



Expectations:

Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of the position
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
