Manager, Control & Protection

You will be part of HVDC within the ABB Power Systems division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 50 years and is used to transmit power over long distances at minimal loss, using overhead lines, land and sea cable systems. Tasks:
The Control & Protection department is responsible for delivering, testing and commissioning the control platform utilized by HVDC. As Manager for the Control & Protection System Design Department your main tasks will be to lead a skilled team of software development and design engineers in the daily work as well as creating a compelling vision ahead. You will also take ownership of developing the team's work processes. The work entails occasional trips globally and the opportunity to visit our partners in China and India. You will collaborate with development engineers, designers and customers in Sweden and abroad. We offer you the chance to be a part of a committed team that operates in the forefront of technology.

Requirements:
You hold at least a B.Sc., preferably in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or similar. Experience from managing people is highly qualifying and so is experience in industrial projects and knowledge of industrial control systems. Since we work in an international environment you need to master spoken and written English apart from Swedish. As a person you have a passion for people and technology, are strong in decision-making and have the right inner drive to take on full responsibility for your scope and deliver on time in a dynamic environment. Last but not least you have to be a genuine team player that seeks and enjoys collaboration with peers and partners.
