The primary responsibility of Supply Chain Operations (SCO) Base Materials at Tetra Pak is to develop an ecosystem of suppliers with capability to secure sustainable and competitive base materials that are delivered to our factories with consistent and customer focused quality level. SCO Base Materials is also supporting and contributing to Tetra Pak´s innovation of new base materials. This role will put you in contact with key internal and external stakeholders across different functional and international borders.
You will report to Technology Manager SCO Base Materials Foil & Ink and be based in Lund.


What you will do
As Material Project & Supplier Manager Printing Ink, you will:
• Develop ink portfolio towards evolving customer quality, sustainability, supply, and cost demands
• Drive ink qualification projects with suppliers and perform supplier audits
• Assure suppliers’ compliance to specifications and push for quality improvement
• Support our sourcing process, specifically supplier scouting, supplier on-boarding ensuring industrial scale-up capability and a secure and long-term base material supply chain.
• Support Tetra Pak´s development of packaging materials and our converting factories in ink related areas


Who you are
You have proven leadership and collaboration skills and ability to manage internal and external relationships in a successful manner. Building relations comes easy to you; you know how to balance listening with persuasion and helpfulness with firmness. We also believe you take initiatives and drive independently towards set targets. You deal successfully with ambiguity, while finding it easy to create structures and keeping track of competing priorities. You are a good communicator towards different organisational levels and excellent at both spoken and written English.


You have a university degree in chemistry at a Master’s level or higher, combined with minimum five years’ experience from working with printing inks, preferably within a large international company. To be successful in this role, you have a solid knowledge in printing inks, printing process (water based flexo) as well as project and supplier management. Experience from packaging industry, material interactions (board-ink-polymer), digital printing and food safety regulation is considered a merit.
