Work test
To assess if the candidate's profile corresponds to our current requirement profile, we offer our candidates to accomplish a work test. The parts of the work test are the parts of the day-to-day work at the preschool and a way to test how the candidate would be able to handle his/her tasks and responsibilities. 
To be able to participate in the test, applicants must be prepared to present a valid extract from the criminal records in accordance with the School Act (2010: 800). Therefore, we recommend that you order the excerpt as soon as you are called to the interview.


About the position
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking person as an English speaking Nursery Nurse to our infant department (1-3 yrs), who will:
- provide a proven record in developing and encouraging children in our preschool to learn English.
- assist in all aspects of children’s daily lives, through social, emotional, educational and practical interaction, nurturing and guidance.
- oversee, maintain and organise a clean, tidy, child-friendly environment
- supervise activities, such as messy play, crafts, cooking, reading and outdoor/physical pursuits




Requirements:
Native English speaking candidates only.
Only candidates holding a valid Swedish work permit.
Degree in education from university or college.
At least one year experience caring for children and language teaching ranging in age from 1 to 3 yrs, in a mixed-age childcare/preschool setting.
Experience and/or general understanding of and personal interest in Montessori pedagogy, outdoor education and teaching methods.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting/articulating information and data.
Proven ability to develop age-appropriate curriculum.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work.
Ability to work within a team.



Key Responsibilities:
Teaching general life skills, such as basic hygiene and manners.
Changing nappies or helping with potty/toilet training.
Working with all everyday situations such as meals, material care, some cleaning and laundry, etc.
Promote children's social skills, language, mathematical thinking and environmental awareness, stimulated and strengthened in daily activities.
Document children's development and learning.
Contributing to the content of the team meetings, reflection times etc.
Following the preschool's curriculum and other local plans.
Having daily professional contact with the children's parents.
Other tasks than those mentioned above may occur depending on the needs and development of the preschool activity.
