Are you eager to kick-start your career in a global company with endless opportunities?
The NKT Trainee program extends over 12 months in NKT Karlskrona and you will be permanent employed from day one within our Engineering function, with all benefits our employees normally has. The program consists of a combination between theory and job rotations, both domestic and one international.
Included is in total four job-rotations, whereas one international, each approximately ten weeks. The objective of the rotations is for you to achieve a solid understanding about the operative parts of the company, culture and to create your own company network.
Your own interest plays an important role in choosing rotations and we encourage to include different areas of the business in the rotations, this in order to achieve a broad “end to end” understanding of the company. During the rotations the you will get the responsibility to solve well-defined tasks and solve problems that is typical for the NKT.
The abroad rotation is meant to accelerate your personal growth in an international environment. Together with your manager you will decide which international rotation that best serves to complete your Trainee program and give you the best prerequisites for a continued career at NKT. The internship will also give you an insight to how it is to work in a different country and how cultures are influencing relationships and work.
The overall setup of the trainee program will give you a unique possibility to learn the industry and company from ground and up, work in an international environment, across functions and to establish a strong company network. The various parts include both theoretical as well as practical aspects and tailor designed trainings will be integrated to your program. This will give you a broad foundation to stand on and the opportunity to individually focus on specific areas according to your ambitions, wishes and business needs.

NKT Engineering
Our Engineering department designs the most advanced cable systems on the market in our tenders and leading the technical scope in our delivery projects. We tailor our technical offer to customer requirements and applicable standards in close cooperation with multi-disciplinary teams from commercial, legal, planning and installation.
You will be a part of a highly skilled team, based in Karlskrona in the southern part of Sweden. In Karlskrona, NKT has a state of the art manufacturing facility for manufacturing high voltage and extra high voltage power cables, the largest AC & DC electrical test labs in northern Europe and Victoria - our cable laying vessel. Our Engineering team is open to innovative ideas and supports personal and collective growth. We thrive on the diversity of our technical backgrounds that allows us to have an all-round perspective in our solutions to the benefit of our customers. You will bring in your skills to enhance your personal growth as well as that of the team.
