Operations Manager

North-East Trade AB is a small, new company with an international outlook. We are based in Uppsala and our focus is on introducing aspects of Asian culture and design to Scandinavia. Initially we will specialize in importing and selling quality, original design items from Asia along with the sale of tea and tea-related beverages.
Position
Operations Manager based in Uppsala

Role
Manage the daily operations of both our online and upcoming physical store as well as contribute towards stock selection and organizing purchases from suppliers in China and other parts of Asia

Responsibilities
· Web store design and maintenance
· Product selection, quality control and supplier relations
· Sales and customer relations development
· Social media development

Requirements
· Postgraduate qualification in Art, Media or Management
· Minimum three years related work experience
· Native level Mandarin Chinese plus competency in English. Fluency in Swedish or Japanese an advantage
· In-depth knowledge and interest in Asian culture - particularly contemporary Asian design
