We are looking for a Package Development Engineer who will together in with a SCRUM-team drive the development of tomorrows sustainable packages and filling machines. Joining our team within D&E Materials & Package working in cross-functional projects developing new packages, packaging material or openings & closures. You will be an important individual contributor who will focus on package development to optimize design, functionality, sustainability and quality of our Primary and Secondary packages to provide the best solutions to our Customers.
You will report to Manager Primary and Secondary Package in Lund.
This is a permanent position based in Lund, Sweden.
Travels occur as part of the job but are limited.
What you will do
As our Package Development Engineer, you will:
· Define, develop and deploy innovative primary & secondary packaging solutions.
· Support the translation of requirements into package design.
· Make risk assessment for package solutions along the value chain.
· Work with package verification and validation activities internally and together with suppliers, factories & even at customer site.
· Write test specifications, analyse package performance & functionality along the full value chain and document results using reports.
· Drive package development activities according to existing procedures, standards and methods to secure safety and quality.
· Drive root cause investigations to understand problems and continuously improve package performance and functionality.

You posses’ excellent collaboration and communications skills enjoying individual work as well as contributing to your SCRUM-teams success. We also think you can adapt easily to change in a challenging, creative and agile environment.
We believe you have:
· Master’s degree within Mechanical-, Design- Materials or Chemical engineering.
· A genuine technical interest in Product- Package- and Package Machine Development.
· Knowledge of qualitative product validation and verification work.
· Experience of different test methods, physical- and virtual testing, preferably in the area of packages and/or packaging material.
· Product development and package design experience is an advantage as well as a value chain understanding.
· Meritorious if you have knowledge about SCRUM and agile methods and is used to work in teams.
· Fluent in English, written as well as spoken.
