People Director, Nordic Marketplaces

Then we have an excellent opportunity for you! The business area, Nordic Marketplaces (NMP), consisting of Marketplaces and eCom & Distribution, is a dynamic group with major growth ambitions. Our strategy is to transform into the Next Generation Marketplace, leveraging our core to build new marketplaces, whilst maintaining our position as the preferred and sustainable marketplace for our customers. To support our people in this ambitious strategy we are now seeking a new People Director to join our team.

As the People Director in NMP you will be responsible for rolling out the people strategy across Nordics and making sure different initiatives are implemented successfully. You will lead great people teams in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway and work closely with the central people team in Schibsted such as Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Comp and Ben to ensure successful results. You need to know operational general HR well and have enough business experience and business understanding to be a valuable sparring partner to the management. We are seeking a collaborative people leader who has great stakeholder management skills and knows how best practice HR looks like.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Lead, align and develop a high performing Nordic People team

-
Set the People strategy and facilitate implementation in collaboration with the leadership team and shared people function to ensure successful results

-
Roll out and follow up people initiatives, such as employee development programs

-
Ensure competence sharing and leverage of capabilities across the NMP people team

-
Facilitate implementation of the Schibsted talent agenda in Nordic Marketplaces to attract new talent and ensure that the right competence, learning and development processes are in place

-
Act as a strategic advisor on people matters for senior management

Lead organisational development and change management supporting business growth


To succeed in this position we believe you have:

Broad HR experience in a cross cultural environment

Experience with leading change, preferably in an international setting

Business experience with a thorough understanding of the critical link between HR and the business strategy

As Director of People you will lead the NMP People team and be a member of the HR Business Delivery leadership team in Schibsted. You will have a key role in a highly competent People team across Schibsted working in close collaboration with our centre of expertise functions to deliver the people strategy in NMP. You will report to SVP People & Culture HR Business Delivery.

Working location is Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki or Copenhagen.
