Plant Project Management is a purpose driven organization within Plant Engineering. WE are moving our production towards a safe and sustainable future. WE drive the transformation of the plant to utilize the most efficient, humancentric, reliable and environmentally friendly production processes and facilities. 

VCT plant has a great future in front of us, where we are in the middle of a challenging and interesting transformation phase, prepare the plant towards major technology swift in upcoming car programs, but also new production technology meeting future of manufacturing. Can it be more challenging and interesting?

What you will do
You will play an important role in leading & coordinating the overall project status and long-term progress/plans in the shop which are connected to the overall plant strategy, set by ambitions, performance, roadmaps, sqm, layout, vision, flow, masterplan 5-10 years and all relevant matters on plant level. Alongside this you will build up work methods and processes in the organization.

The Plant Project Manager take also ownership of Industrial non product projects concerning the plant with focus on Assembly Shop. You will work in close cooperation with the whole organization such as Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Plant and Shop Engineering, Logistics, Facility Management, IT, Purchasing as well as other parts of Volvo Cars.

To be able to reach Volvo Cars long term targets as well as preparing the Plant for future product architectures you must ensure excellent project execution in line with the plant strategies and visions as a part of our journey. You will be the customers voice putting forward plant expectations and demands early in projects, as your part of delivery in line with the Manufacturing Logic Plan.

Competence and experience are important, but personality and potential, are keys 
The key in the role is to have a relevant Project Leader experience alongside having a strong interest in running projects and leadership, and be used to balance work between operational, vision and strategical. Maybe you also have worked in a senior position within Agile teams or likewise. 

You have an academic education, technical background connected to manufacturing/logistics and/or product development, in addition you have knowledge from lean manufacturing and/or value chain flow optimization in any combination with managerial experiences. All the mentioned areas and your collective skills from those areas are merited and will be an advantage to be successful in the role.

As a person you believe in the power of people and you have the tools and skills to bring out the best in the project teams to deliver success. Moreover, we think that you in a professional way can communicate with different stakeholders, serves as a liaison between different stakeholder groups and you feel confident to hold presentations to all levels in the organization.
You gain confidence and trust from others through your honesty, integrity, and authenticity and you can step up to address difficult issues, saying what needs to be said in a proper and constructive way.
