You will be part of the Technology & Solutions Development within the Power Grids division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. Your background
As R&D Engineer, you will develop and test cloud applications for HVDC system.
The software developed will be used as a base from which projects all over the world will take their first steps.
Your code will enable HVDC to integrate into advanced ABB cloud solutions.
You will work with our latest HVDC technology and solutions, in collaboration with colleagues located worldwide.

Your background
You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
Alternatively, proven experience from working with HMI development or user experience.
Knowledge of HVDC technology or the MACH™ system will be an advantage.
Ability to work well in a team and deliver towards common goals, with attention to detail and accuracy.
It is important that you have a strong interest in technology and a willingness to share your knowledge.
You contribute with a strong problem-solving mindset and endurance to deliver and document high-quality technical solutions.
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written is required.
