We are looking for our new Research & Developing (R&D) Manager to strengthen our team in HVDC, a business unit within Hitachi Energy. In this role you will lead a diverse group of Systems engineers and architects working in a dynamic environment, striving towards quality and on time delivery, while keeping safety and integrity in mind. This is an exciting role with close collaboration with different departments and teams at Hitachi Energy both locally and globally.

Your responsibilities
Lead, support and motivate a team of 10 experienced engineers and architects.
Develop and drive continuous improvement activities to optimize processes, policies, procedures and team effectiveness.
Working closely with customers to shape and deliver technical solutions and utilizing feedback for delivering innovative improvements.
Maintain and develop great relationships with internal and external contacts.
Contribute to ensure that the cross functional teams are adequately resourced to meet business needs.
Budget responsibility and take ownership of managing business performance against agreed-upon financial targets.
You will be an active part in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) as a Product Owner for the agile architect team.

Your background
As a leader you are inspirational, authentic, customer-focused and empowering.
You have a Bachelor or Master’s in Engineering, preferably with an electronics development focus.
You have an interest in team management and development and it’s a merit if you have experience in leadership/management roles.
Experience from traditional systems development including sophisticated requirement management and architectural design is a strong merit.
You are a curious person with the drive to challenge yourself and the organization for continuous development in both short and long term.
You are commitment towards safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
As you will be part of a company that operates on a global arena, fluent in English is required.
