RESEARCH POSITION IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The research field of Entrepreneurship at Luleå University of Technology (Sweden) focuses upon scholarly study of business development of commercial companies, especially development based on innovative products, services, process solutions or new ways of organising business activities. Its research team, consisting of five senior researchers, three PhD candidates and three associated visiting professors/researchers, now announces a position as researcher in Entrepreneurship.


Your background : We believe you have successfully defended your PhD dissertation during the last five years in the field of Entrepreneurship research, and that you now have the ambition to move forward towards a Docent degree in (maximum) four years time. Your personal research interest should preferably relate to research topics prioritized by Luleå University of Technology (Product development, Entrepreneurship and Management) and our interest at the Institution for Business Administration and Social Sciences to develop a profile in research and education related to Management of Innovation.

Your field of research: Your main topic is primarily related to the role of the entrepreneur (i.e. research on the individual level) in new venture establishment and also factors and phenomena related to innovative networks, including topics such as governance and mechanisms related to performance at both firm and network level.

Your skills and competences: We expect you to possess excellent and relevant knowledge and skills in the field, and to enjoy both self-organized and team-based work tasks. You should be fluent in English (oral and writing). Knowledge in Swedish is a merit.

Eligibility: To be qualified for appointment as a research assistant one must possess a doctorate or overseas degree judged to correspond to a doctorate. Consideration shall be primarily given to applicants who have taken their degree no more than five years prior to the end of the application period. Also applicants who have taken their degree earlier can be considered if there are special circumstances. (HEO Ch 4 Sect. 10 ). The application evaluation will place primary emphasis on the applicant's scientific skills.
