Design & Engineering - Business Unit Surface Ship Design & Engineering develops designs and records all products for Business Unit Surface Ships, commercial as well as naval.The section manages all military applications of Business unit Surface ships' products.The work consists of hydro mechanical calculations and design work for hull and outfitting.We are now looking for a Section Manager.Main accountabilities *Keep informed of, to the operation of the business unit, relevant technological development.Analyse and assess relevant information and contribute to the overall planning, follow up and control of the unit's operation.*Based on the department's and the unit's business plans, prepare annual budget and regularly updated activity plans for the section.*Based on the work flow, plan, direct and control the day to day activities in the section, allocate resources, coach and support subordinated personnel, ensuring that the scope of work are according to agreed technical- and quality standards, on time and at agreed costs.*Ensure that the section is sufficient staffed, subordinated personnel is trained and motivated, that Kockums HR, financial and other policies and systems are implemented.*Manage external resources/ Present the work package to external resources / suppliers.Train / ensure training of new hires in the company's systems and processes.Check and validate the documentation and filing of the works / activities performed into the established systems and processes. *Participate or dedicate resources from the section as needed to support other departments, units and function in their activities / projects/ sub-projects.Qualification Profile Requirements *Minimum Bachelor of Science in Engineering with experience in shipbuilding *Leadership education *A minimum of seven years working experience *A minimum of two years experience from working in a leading position *A minimum of one years experience from managing projects *In depth knowledge and experience from working in a project / line organisation *Good knowledge about and experience from process oriented work methods *Good knowledge and experience from budget work *Fluent oral and excellent written Swedish and English.*Good knowledge of MS Office programs Meritorious *Higher degree / Diploma in Business & Economics, behavioral sciences or equivalent *Project Management education *Knowledge of tools relevant to the section *Knowledge of the German language *Experience working with people from different cultures *Experience in ship design and construction Personal Qualifications Profile *Strong leader *Structured, Social and communicative *Holistic approach, transparency and foresight *Results oriented *Coaching approach *Encourage innovation change oriented Contact and application: In this recruitment Hudson Global Resources is responsible for selection of candidates.
