Internationella Engelska Skolan is a leading independent school group (friskola), reaching academic results far above average. It was founded in 1993 by Ms. Barbara Bergstrom, a science teacher originally from the US. In 2009, she received the award "Entrepreneur of the year in Sweden".
More than 13 000 students are enrolled in our 22 schools around the country, mainly grades 4-9.

Internationella Engelska Skolan i Halmstad is an independent secondary school with 450 students in grade 4-8, next school year 4-9. The school is located near the Nissan river, and is a short walk from the city center.

We are looking for several teacher with startday next school year August 2014 for grades 4-9.

Qualifications
You are a qualified teacher in grades 4-9 in one or more subject in:

Spanish teacher 50 - 85%
German teacher 50% -
Art teacher 100% - grade 4-9
Crafts teacher 100% grade 4-9
Swedish teacher/Social studies 100% - grade 4-6

You have extraordinary commitment and drive. You are a clear leader that provides security and is a role model for your students. You get involved in the students and in their goals through a coaching approach. As a person you are creative and open to new ideas and viewpoints. You are structured , loyal, responsive and have a high sense of responsibility.
Fluency in English is an advantage but not a must.

Duties and responsibilities:
- To create the necessary conditions for students to acquire knowledge and achieve individual goals.
- To develop students' knowledge and skills with the curriculum and syllabi founded by clear criteria, goals and feedback.
- To act as a role model and to provide security, order and a calm working atmosphere both inside and outside the classroom.
