Simulation Engineer

You will be part of HVDC within the Power Systems division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past
50 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems.

Tasks

At HVDC (high-voltage direct current) in Ludvika, you will join the world's leading center of excellence in the area of electric power. The office of simulation models (TSM) is looking for you who want to be involved in preparing models for simulation programs such as Power Factory and PSS / E.
The models represent converters inclusive control system for HVDC Classic and HVDC light and are used in system studies in order to determine the control principles. You will get a great deal of responsibility and the opportunity to work with multiple departments internally at ABB as well as with suppliers of simulation programs. With us you will face a varying job in both TSM and HVDC.

Requirements
You hold an MSc in Engineering with a major in electrical power and have an interest in both control technology and programming. You are fluent in spoken and written English and are of course computer literate with a good command of Office. It is positive if you have worked with the simulation program PSCAD, PSS / E and DIgSILENT. Your success is of course also dependent on your personal qualities. We are looking for a motivated and goal oriented team player to our team, which consists of nine coworkers.
