About the position
Perido is looking for a Sourcing Manager to our client, a global giant within the vehicle industry. The position is placed in Södertälje, just south of Stockholm and you’ll be able to work from distance three days a week.
Your daily tasks
As a Sourcing Manager you will be responsible for driving purchasing activities and procurement of parts which are needed, in this case engine components. You’ll look at how to reach the best total cost, ensure capacity and other targets. You’ll work cross functional with departments within research, development, purchasing quality and in smaller teams.
What to expect:
Challenge suppliers and R&D to create prerequisites for sourcing within concept- and product development projects (CD- &PD-projects).
Source prototypes with possible support.
Prepare for and leads Forward Sourcing Kick-off and quotation review.

Your qualifications
We are looking for someone who has great organizational skills and knows how to run projects regarding purchasing. You enjoy working in projects with others to come up with the best solution, therefore we believe that you have a great service mind and can communicate skillfully. Lastly, you are flexible in the sense of changing your way of working.

Requirements
Post-secondary education (purchasing, logistics, supply chain, etc.)
Relevant work experience (purchasing, logistics, supply chain, etc.)
Great computer skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written in Swedish and English

Experience from the vehicle industry
Technical project and commodity purchasing
Experience from the defense industry

Contract type and hours
Full time. Consulting assignment until 2023-12-01 with the possibility of an extension. Start 2022-10-01.
