SIX MONTHS OF TRANSFORMATION

Have you graduated or will soon finish your degree within cyber security or DevOps? Do you share our passion for making use of data and are ready for new challenges? In that case our Splunk Academy might be something for you!

Splunk Academy starts in the beginning of September 2021. You will be employed like any other colleague but also be part of a class of people who together will begin a journey of education & training to get a real kickstart in your careers! Those successful in graduation from the Academy will not only have gained a wealth of knowledge, loads of hands-on experience, a valuable network of colleagues and experts throughout the industry but most importantly a very interesting, versatile and meaningful role where putting data to use for good!

The Splunk Academy offers a unique opportunity to start your employment with a program of six months period tailored to make you an expert in Splunk - the world’s most powerful and versatile platform for data. We will have special learning tracks that lets you specialize in three different roles all built around Splunk: Security Operator in our CyberSOC or as either a Security or Development focused consultant in Professional Services.

The program is structured in three partially parallel phases. It starts with an Introduction to Orange Cyberdefense and your specific role. This is followed by Educations in Splunk, both standard courses as well as tailor made by our internal Splunk experts in each area. Lastly we take this new knowledge and add work experience by traineeship at our customers or our services. When the program ends, you are well prepared and have gained all the tools necessary to transition into your future career.



Phase 1 - Introduction to Orange Cyberdefense and the Splunk Academy

During your first month you will get an introduction to the company, your new role and your class. We will introduce how we work, our values and expectations but also to your senior colleagues already in the field who have gone through similar experiences as you before.



Phase 2 - Splunk Education

Shortly after the introduction have started we will begin your Splunk training. Everyone will undergo a broad fundamental baseline the teaches you the core concepts of Splunk. Afterwards you will specialize in one of the tracks that will delve deeper into the most important parts for your role.

The education will be primarily self-study with teacher support and part teacher-lead courses. This will take the form of both Splunks own virtual courses and custom tailormade courses and other material designed and lead by the very best Splunk professional in Orange Cyberdefense to add an edge you simply cannot get anywhere else!



Phase 3 - Traineeship

With brand new knowledge you will be introduced to, and gradually get to start work in, our customer deliveries. You will work close to your mentor, initially following them around performing their roles and development projects to watch and learn but gradually over time you will be challenged with your own tasks with a progressive development curve that alternates work and education. As the Academy nears its end your curiosity and hard work will turn into confidence and we've realized the purpose: transforming talent into Splunk professionals!



SUPPORT & MENTORSHIP

Throughout the Splunk Academy you will have a big support network who are there to help you succeed. In the Introduction you will meet representatives from all parts of the organization, during your Education you will have the support of excellent Splunk professionals as teachers and when it’s time to take the step out in delivery you will have a mentor who you can follow help you and shows the way during the journey. In short: we'll have your back and help you succeed!

You are generous in sharing your knowledge and have a humble approach - in both success and while facing adversity. In groups you focus on the good for the team, have an open and curious mind.

Finally we are looking for you who have focus on building long-term relationships and know that customers relations and business solutions must be maintained, enhanced and developed to stay successful.

With Splunk as a baseline, we have three educational tracks that will lead to these specializations:

- Security Operator (CyberSOC)
- Security Consultant (Professional Services)
- Developer Consultant (Professional Services)
