Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Quality Engineer

Arbetsbeskrivning

For Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions and our production site in Svedala, we’re now looking for a structured and adaptable Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. You’ll be part of the Sourcing and Supplier Quality organization where collaboration, agility and improvements are keys, and where your everyday job includes a mix of large development projects, supplier contacts and detailed analysis. On top of this, we offer you an exciting and international environment where you can grow your competence and build a future career!

About the job
In this position, you’re an important part of our supply chain as you’re responsible for ensuring our suppliers and products meets necessary standards in terms of quality, performance, technical features, capabilities and reliability. You take part in various supplier quality related activities – such as audits, reviews and development initiatives – and you collect root cause analysis, provide corrective feedback and offer technical support to our suppliers.

You actively work to deliver on our strategy, follow up on KPI’s and touch base with suppliers to find improvements, harmonize our processes and develop and implement best practices to ensure we achieve our objectives. Other items on your agenda includes managing key projects with internal stakeholders, and you also initiate, implement and follow up on development projects together with external suppliers. Naturally this means you create great collaborations and strong partnerships with all parts of the organization, as well as with external partners.

The location for this position is in Svedala – a fast and easy commute from surrounding cities, such as Malmö, Lund and Ystad, and with our site located just across from the train station. As many of our suppliers are located outside of Sweden, mainly in Europe and Asia, travel is necessary and normally a natural part of your job.

About you
We’re looking for a technically skilled professional with experience in quality related projects and leading development initiatives within the manufacturing industry. You know how to read, interpret and understand technical documents and specifications like drawings and schemes. You’re familiar with steel or casting manufacturing techniques and it’s a plus if you have knowledge of electronics or hydraulics, or specific knowledge of our Sandvik product portfolio. A relevant degree within a technical field is something we consider highly valuable, and you’re an experienced user of Office 365. As we’re a global industry with local presence, you also need excellent skills in both English and Swedish.

You’re very outgoing, communicative and collaborative, and at the same time you enjoy analyzing and reviewing technical information. You make sure your projects run smoothly and reach given objectives, and you plan, prioritize and take initiatives to make it happen. Add the ability to easily interact with many different stakeholders, and you’re the one for this job!
