Your role

You will be part of a minor engineering team that works both theoretically and practically within electronic warfare (EW) area. Depending on the applicant's profile and previous work experience, tasks and assignments within this role can be adjusted to meet the candidate's areas of expertise.

The main tasks may include but is not limited to:

* Plan, arrange, coordinate and follow-up on project activities and deliverables.
* Be a part of the project team and contribute to overall project objectives.
* Execute individual tasks and assignments within project scope.
* Modification and redesign of existing equipment for use in new applications.
* Test, Maintenance and repair of various components within microwave area.
* Analyze performance on antennas, transmitters, receivers etc.
* Software design and development.
* Assist in mechanical construction and development.
* Produce and validate technical documentation.
* Participation in test and trial campaigns.

Required skills:

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
* 3 to 5 years of experience in related positions.
* Good communication skills in English, verbal and written.
* Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently.



Desired skills:

* Experience of test instruments.
* Experience in development of electronics.
* Experience of mechanical design.
* Experience in IFS or similar MPS systems.
* Project team member experience or project management ability.



This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.

What you will be a part of

Business unit Gripen Support manages Gripen business within Support and Services and provides a focal point for Gripen customers and partners. We provide support and support solutions for the Gripen system including a range of products and services.



You will become part of Test Equipment. The department designs, produces and supports test equipment for, primarily, maintenance of the electronics in the Gripen Fighter System. The department also provides support and service for its products to other Saab units within electronic warfare (EW) area. Today we are about 90 employees but are in an expansive phase where we need to become more people.
