We now have an exciting opening at Polestar as Tax Analyst who will be part of a fast-paced and challenging start-up organization. You will play an important role in the finance team supporting Polestar in its growth and expansion. In this new finance role, you are a member of a dynamic and developing team. This role is key to further developing the Group Tax function at Polestar group.



What you'll do

You will be part of the Tax team within Group Finance, working mainly with tax compliance focused on VAT but also corporate income tax for the Polestar group. The position will be placed in Gothenburg.

Examples of tasks are:

- Review indirect tax filings such as VAT/GST returns and other reporting requirements for Polestar group companies
- Work with the accounting team and prepare for CIT filings and related tasks
- Monitor and implement changes in local and global tax legislation
- Develop and implement process improvements & tax compliance
- Ensure alignment with global tax processes and directives
- Interaction with the accounting team to ensure indirect tax compliance
- Developing/training the accounting team
- Handling contacts with tax authorities in audits and litigations
- Handle Polestars foreign VAT claim
- Become a member that will actively contribute to further set up and develop the Tax team and work towards a tax function in the forefront


Who you are

To be successful in this role we think that you are a person with lots of energy, strong analytical skills together with an extensive experience in accounting and tax. You are a team player with the ability to propose, drive and implement improvements. You have a high level of accountability and commitment and can work independently both as part of projects as well as working hands on in daily operations.

Other important skills for this role:

- University degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience within accounting and tax compliance
- Knowledge of finance processes and systems
- SAP experience is a merit
- Fluent in English, oral and written
- Good team player and team building skills
