Test Manager

Key Responsibilities
This role is part of the Engineering Management Team and reports to the Engineering Site Manager in Köping, and in matrix to the Global Engineering Systems Manager. The Physical Test Department consists of four teams, namely System Performance, Fluid Dynamics, NVH System and Strength & Durability for validation of All Wheel Driveline (AWD) Systems. Köping Engineering Site has invested in top-of-the-line, advanced test rigs and equipment. As Test Manager you will have interaction with our world-leading OEM customers such as Volvo, JLR, Fiat and Porsche. The Test Manager leads and develops the team through the Team Leaders, who are both blue and white collar workers. The role involves a lot of contacts both within the Köping site and worldwide within Global GKN Engineering.

Key responsibilities in this role include health and safety oversight of the department, and to manage, support and develop the personnel. The role includes responsibility for the department?s planning, budget and investments and will be an important part of developing the next steps for the overall strategy and Test Road Map. The Test Manager also ensures that competence, resources, methods, tooling and equipment are available to support efficient physical validation in new AWD development programs.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills
- MSc or BSc Degree in Engineering or related field of study.
- Experience from management positions.
- Experience from advanced physical testing, automotive is an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal. German language skill is a plus.
