You will be a part of highly skilled teams, based in Karlskrona. Here we have a state of the art manufacturing facility for manufacturing high voltage and extra high voltage power cables, the largest AC & DC electrical test labs in northern Europe and Victoria - our cable laying vessel.

The NKT Trainee program extends over 12 months at NKT in Karlskrona with start early September and you will be permanent employed from day one with all benefits our employees normally have.
The program includes in total four job-rotations, whereas one international, each approximately ten weeks. The objective of the rotations is for you to achieve a solid “end to end” understanding about the company, culture and to create your own company network.
The rotations could for example include sales, engineering and production, but your own interest also plays an important role in choosing rotations. During the rotations the you will get the responsibility to solve well-defined tasks and solve problems that are typical for NKT. The abroad rotation is meant to accelerate your personal growth in an international environment. Together with your manager you will decide which international rotation that best serves to complete your Trainee program and give you the best prerequisites for a continued career at NKT. The internship will also give you an insight to how it is to work in a different country and how cultures are influencing relationships and work.
The overall setup of the trainee program will give you a unique possibility to learn the industry and company from ground and up, work in an international environment, across functions and to establish a strong company network. The various parts include both theoretical as well as practical aspects and tailor designed trainings will be integrated to your program. This will give you a broad foundation to stand on and the opportunity to individually focus on specific areas.
Business needs as well as your ambitions and wishes will determine in which department in Karlskrona you will have your fix position after the trainee year.

We are looking for you who are newly graduated or about to graduate during first half of 2022 with a master's degree within electrical engineering or areas such as physics, electric power or mechanics.
We assume you have a high technical interest as well as great eagerness to acquire new knowledge and skills. Our teams are built on collaboration and strong team spirit so one success factor for you as a trainee is a strong team oriented mindset with an open mind for sharing solutions, competences and experiences. In addition to this you are an analytical problem solver, you take great responsibility for your work and possesses excellent communication skills.

Besides the above you have excellent verbal and written English skills, Swedish is considered an strong asset, as well as an permanent authorization to work in Sweden or SE/EU/CH/NO citizenship.
