In this role you will be responsible to find the best solutions for shipping and transport in our projects, working with projects, global functions and forwarders to ensure the best and most efficient solutions. You have a background in transportation/shipping and will be part of the logistics team in the Supply Chain Management community and the location of the team is in Västerås, Sweden.
Your responsibilities
Creating E2E transport budgets as input for tenders​
Optimizing transport portfolio with respect to cost and quality​
Risk mitigation analysis​
Providing transport feasibility, transport budget and transport plan​
Vendor scouting and evaluation​
Assuring a proactive approach on transport schedule planning and payment milestones​
Being the interlinked connection with internal and external GPQS stakeholders in tender and project execution​
Supporting all the department involved regarding the creation of Risk Analysis Mitigation (RAM) plan along the entire project timeline and packing and marking instructions​
Negotiating with suppliers as well as evaluating service level based on flexibility and willingness to support.
Ensure compliance of shipping with all local and Global Regulations
Ensuring that procurement routines for transport services are complying to the Global Directives along with the cost reduction mindset
Seeking new solutions, innovations to review and improve current processes

Your background
A master’s or bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or business administration is a plus. A transport education from Yrkeshögskolan (KY) is also relevant. Documented experience with shipping can override the need for a degree.
Good communication and networking skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial attitude
Experience working in transportation operations
Technical interest and ability to solve complex problems independently
Fluency in English, written and verbal, is a requirement
