Volvo Retail Experience Implementation Architect

The group Global Retail Facilities and Processes are responsible for the Volvo Retail Facility concept and to support Volvo Dealers globally in improving their main processes. Our objective is to strengthen the Volvo brand at retail, improve the customer experience and secure operational efficiency. The group consist of 26 people and we are now looking for a Volvo Retail Experience (VRE) Implementation Architect to join our team.

As VRE Implementation Architect you will together with the team be responsible for the further development and implementation of the Volvo Retail Experience in order to get a coherent Global Corporate Identity picture at our retailers. The implementation takes place at global level that is a vital part of ensuring that Volvo Car Group and its retailers meet the expectations of our current and future customers. The role requires competence in how we design and plan our dealers; to ensure that we get the results we need to support Volvo Car Group in becoming a Premium Luxury Brand. There is also a certain amount of administration tied to this position, mainly with the focus of getting a good view of the speed of the implementation in the individual markets. The concept is developed but there is constant need for development, quality assurance and improvement. The position requires a flexibility to travel. You will report to the Director of Global Retail Facilities and Processes.

Main responsibilities

* Support all Markets and local architects in implementing the VRE concept, lay-out proposals, technical and financial questions
* Review of submitted VRE project proposals by markets
* Support Markets in their contact with third party suppliers concerning technical, financial and process matters
* Development of conceptual lay-outs (Cad design) for individual sites together with local coordinators
* Development of rough cost estimations (depending on insight in local cost structure and levels)
* Project Management for further development of the VRE concept
* Organisation of market conference calls regarding VRE reviews or on site markets meetings
* Internal and External presentations of the VRE concept as part of promoting Volvo Car Group and VRE

Required qualifications

* University degree in Architecture or similar qualifications
* Approximately 5-10 years' work experience in relevant area
* Knowledge, understanding and experience in retailing environment, documented experience in concept development
* Competent leader and negotiator with the ability to interface and develop positive relationships at all levels in the organisation
* Understanding of automotive and retailing strategies and operations gained through Market experience
* Experience of managing third party suppliers
* Knowledge and experience of working with CAD, MS Office
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written
* Driver's license, B-level
