Sales Area Northern Europe are responsible for sales and service activities in 21 countries in Northern, Central and Eastern Europe. Our business is spread between the mining and construction industries, and our customer base represents a wide variety of applications. Right now, we’re looking for a Director of Marketing and Communication. This is a brand-new role where you’ll shape our marketing position and set up working methods and structures. Your mission
In this position, you work to increase our market share and customer loyalty, while ensuring a highly competitive and sustainable marketing approach to protect and improve our position. By planning, implementing, and monitoring marketing communication activities, you ensure a smooth and seamless process supporting our sales organization with differentiating, high quality marketing communication material and activities. You actively work with, and develop, a team of Territory marketing professionals to achieve established goals within the agreed marketing strategy.
You’re also responsible for our internal communication strategies and initiatives – you write and oversee media releases, opinion pieces, speeches, articles and other related material – making sure that we’re consistent and aligned with the organization’s overall mission, vision, and objectives.
As you take part in driving and leading improvements in the overall marketing process and its synergies, you push usage of regional online marketing together with online sales. You monitor, analyze, and evaluate various business-related activities, identify marketing opportunities, and agilely adjust marketing strategy and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.
You’re seated in Malmö, Sweden and report to the VP of Sales Area North Europe. Travel is normally included in the job.
Your character
We're looking for someone with experience from a similar global or regional role with supervisory or management responsibilities. You hold at least a Bachelor of Marketing or Business Administration, or other relevant education. You know how to execute editorial content strategies across web and social channels, and you’re interested in emerging technology in the field. Sandvik's corporate language is English, so we require verbal and written fluency.
To succeed in this role, you must be flexible, self-motivated, and a true initiative taker. Showing highly developed organizational skills, you exhibit a high level of accountability both regarding your own and your team's outcome. You enjoy a networking environment and have the ability to work as a part of an integrated and broad team where you inspiringly contribute to the team dynamic. You have a natural sense of leading others, pointing out the path clearly and understandably, and working proactively to help our Sales Area reach success!
