WHO YOU ARE
You have a passion for bringing the physical and digital worlds together and are able to bring focus to the physical store space in an omni-channel environment. At IKEA we call this channel Physical Meetings Points (PMP) and IKEA is currently branching into different physical formats.. from the Big Blue boxes on the outskirts of the cities, to new format within the city centres to Customer meeting points for planning and designing. You have a strong understanding and deep experience leveraging Technology to digitally transform the experience for the many customers and co-workers in the physical IKEA stores. You know how to translate PMP strategy into foundational capability building blocks. You have a good understanding of customer and co-worker experiences across multiple touchpoints and geographies, as well as developing solutions that create a unique and compelling experience for the customer through digital. At the same time, we believe that you are resilient in navigating through change and have the ability to operate in a hybrid multichannel environment.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Domain Engineering manager for Physical Meeting Points (PMP) Technology & Services you will be responsible for the entire portfolio of technology solutions in the PMP domain across Ingka group ecosystem. As Domain manager, you will leverage your deep technology expertise to act as Technology Lead for the product development in the PMP domain being accountable for the domain-wide engineering delivery. You will partner with the PMP Product Domain organization as well as Country Digital, who is the voice out into the markets. You will report into the Chief Technology Officer and will be a member of the extended Digital Technology Leadership team, helping the people, process and solutions agenda for the Technology Organization in Group Digital.
The Domain Engineering Manager of Physical Meeting Points needs to be a visionary thinker and a proven track record of results, growth, and leadership ability in working with Technology organizations. It will require navigating and influencing key stakeholders to constructively challenge current practices, and accepted ways of doing things. At the same time, you will have significant business, operational, and technology experience to support the ongoing digital transformation in IKEA. You will be responsible for designing ground breaking, yet accessible products and experiences, while defining agile ways of working within the domain and delivering the right solutions to realize our business ambitions. The ideal candidate will have the ability to shape a leadership culture that drives digital transformation and will be an authentic ambassador for IKEA's values, bringing a strong people and culture focus into both operations and strategic transformation
This role will ideally be based in Malmo, Sweden. Alternative locations include Amsterdam where IKEA has recently built sizable development hubs. It is expected that this role requires travel regularly to IKEA's other offices in addition to further international travel. You, together with your team will be responsible for:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities to succeed in this role:
Strong product engineering management and communication skills with proven track record (at least 10+ years) in managing delivery for a Global organization going through Digital transformation
Proven analytical skills and experience in making decisions based on both hard and soft data. Decisive, able to think strategically with the big picture on hand and attention to detail where needed, understanding the impact on the organization
Experience working in a hybrid delivery organization where both agile and waterfall is combined and preparing presentations for operational and strategic topics (experience with boards and c-level)
Strong influencing skills, with ability to build trustful relationships and hold stakeholders accountable on any level (junior team members or senior management)
Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to engage with senior business-leaders



Requisite Education and Experience/Minimum Qualifications:
Degree with focus on Engineering or related areas/equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years of product engineering experience within a corporate environment and/or in the consulting industry
Prior experience working on Customer facing and/or Co-worker facing Store Technology for a global organization will be a big plus
Prior experience of managing portfolio size of at least 25+mn EUR and team of at least 50+ across multiple locations is desirable
Prior experience in Supplier management will be an advantage

This role sits dedicated within the Technology Organisation in Group Digital.
