Group Manager for S-order Defence Project Management, ERSOD2

Group Manager for S-order Defence Project Management, ERSOD2

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Do you want to lead a dedicated team working with customized defence projects on complete trucks? Do you want to act in an environment where the customer's requests always are in focus? Are you stimulated by coaching and developing your employees to new levels? Then this position may be something for you!

The projects are initiated by Sales and Marketing based on specific customer requests and then run in a scalable process. Each project manager usually handles a number of cross-functional projects in parallel, where the lead time can vary from 1 up to 5+ years depending on size and complexity.

Defence Project Management (ERSOD) leads product development projects that create a modular truck platform primarily requested by defence customers.

In parallel, ERSOD also runs business projects mainly for European and NATO-countries.

The group has grown, so a split is needed.  After the split, the two groups will have  approx. 12 co-workers. Current manager for ERSOD will take on responsibility for ERSOD1. This recruitment of manager is for ERSOD2.

The groups have a composition of employees where different genders, ages, backgrounds and experiences contribute to a positive group dynamic and where knowledge sharing and willingness to cooperate is a matter of course.

The ERSO (Planning and Project Office) section also includes ERSOS (S-order Project Management) which leads civilian product development projects and ERSOX (S-order Planning and Co-ordination).

Work assignments

With commitment, you lead the group in the daily work. You continuously support and coach the group's project managers to achieve agreed deliveries and goals. You have the customer in focus and are passionate about cross-functional collaboration and can thereby ensure that the group delivers the right activities on time, at the right quality and cost.

Continuous improvement work is a natural part of our business, and with a proactive approach, you and your team identify risks early and act on them.

The organization's most important resource is the individuals. Through a close collaboration with each employee, you together create a prerequisite for an interesting and challenging personal development. An important success factor is that you master the ability to achieve a good team spirit and thereby create a high-performing group.
