In range area Bathroom and Water we  are a group of people that are passionate about the only room in the home where you get to be alone, where there are in many countries more than one bathroom, where our living situations can be so different, we are serious about water and we share an inspiring vision: “to make life better for the many people” Our goals are to provide the affordable dream bathroom delivering a complete and relevant and functional range to our customers and we are looking for someone who shares our positive attitude and values.  

We are looking for a Market Specific Leader for Range Area Bathroom and Water and Kitchen and Appliances.  

We are looking for you, who are curious about the needs and dreams of consumers and their life at home. And at the same time know how to lead and drive a development process with an entrepreneurial approach. You have a deep knowledge of retail and how the markets work to easily connect and work together.   

As a Market Specific Leader, you play a key role in our quest to improve our market relevance, by supporting the core range and by that, generating extraordinary growth and great customer experience. By listening to and understanding the needs of the consumer in each market, developing complementary and competitive market relevant range, yet following our principles of Democratic Design and our IKEA identity.  

You are responsible for leading, growing, and optimizing the market-specific potential in the HFB dimension, thereby contributing extraordinary growth and speed to the market. You identify new business opportunities by working in close collaboration with the countries, market clusters, and range teams. Opportunities that not only will create market-specific growth, but also will challenge and optimize the total development plan for both Bathroom & Water and the Kitchen & Appliances portfolios.  

Furthermore, you will be responsible for find and meet the needs today and tomorrow, whilst staying true to our brand identity. The consumers and customers should feel there is “always something for me”.  Creating a strategic plan for how to complement the core range, with a smart, coordinated, and complete offer in every market, with a focus on our key markets. Our offer should be as common as possible and as specific as needed.  

You will also transforming life at home knowledge and insights in different markets, to products and solutions. Securing IKEA unique identity and Democratic Design in each and every product, always starting with the price tag. Bringing market knowledge to the range group, making our global range even more relevant. Test and try new opportunities throughout the total value chain, from consumer to supplier. Being a partner for our innovation project, new material or new functions.

To be successful in your role, you need to collaborate with the range and the commercial teams in both range areas, as well as work closely with the markets.  You have a good eye for commerciality and what will create exceptional growth now and, in the future, while always staying true to Democratic Design, IKEA Range Strategy, and IKEA Identity in assessing product requests. You have a keen interest in range and identifying gaps. You are quick to make decisions and have a great ability to create action and make things move by inspiring and influencing others and your understanding of the complete value chain – a true entrepreneur!  

Please, also note that this role will belong to range area Bathroom and Water and will report to Claire Catlow, Range Manager Bathroom and Water, but it will be responsible for both range areas Bathroom & Water and Kitchen & Appliances.
