Senior Scientist Drug Product Delivery
We are now looking for candidates for a Drug Product Delivery assignment at AstraZeneca R&D. An exiting position and a technical advanced role in an expanding department. The assignment will start on the 1st of October.

Your Arena

Drug Product Delivery in Mölndal is the only internal delivery site within AstraZeneca R&D. We pack and distribute investigational products to clinical studies around the globe and are a vital part of the Pharmaceutical Development Supply Chain organization. Within delivery we work with all therapeutic areas and during 2013 we doubled our output.

Description

The Delivery Lead role is a technically advanced role. Working together with other DP Delivery staff and colleagues within Supply Chain and Pharmaceutical Development this role have an impact on the speed, quality and cost of the development portfolio, the overall success of the R&D Supply Chain as well as clinical studies.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities Delivery Lead:

Working within the agreed project portfolio, the role holder is responsible for the delivery of investigational products to agreed milestones and acts as point of contact for all enquiries regarding the timing of deliveries for internally packed studies and bulk product shipments to CRO.

Represent Drug Product Delivery on the Supply Chain Team, share feedback on delivery progress as well as contribute to forward planning on programme level.

Develop and agree plans for each primary/secondary packaging order with the local Planner. Monitor progress and manage changes to demand as well as any threats to delivery, ensuring effective communication.

Ensure that necessary materials, including relevant documents will be available for use on the date required.

Maintain strong operational relationships with the Study Manager Team members, Drug Product Manufacturing Lead and the Quality Assurance group (Supply Chain QA) ensuring effective information sharing.

Collaborate closely with SC Study Managers, contributing practical knowledge to design of clinical trial kits, and effective processes for packaging, labelling and distribution.

Minimum Requirements – Education and Experience:

Degree in supply chain related or drug development discipline or experience preferably in the pharmaceutical science field

Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience preferably in clinical/commercial manufacturing, packaging engineering, clinical packaging/labelling/distribution or QA

Demonstrates supply chain mindset and delivery focus

Demonstrated ability to work with teams in a culturally diverse, complex, changing environment.
