Vice President, EMEA PR & COMMUNICATION

Arbetsbeskrivning

THE OATLY WAY

Oatly is a sustainability company built on the idea of change. Bottom line, we want to make it easy for people to eat and drink what’s good for them without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources. It's why we come to work every day. With our head office in Malmö and production sites in Sweden, the Netherlands and the US, our products are available in almost 30 countries across Europe, North America and Asia.

We welcome people from all backgrounds who see sustainability, health and transparency as important values. If you have the curiosity, passion and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let’s do this together! It will be fun! Promise!

Here’s what it’s all about.

A knack for strategic communications, love of leadership, solid planning and steady execution are what’s key here. In the VP EMEA PR & Communications role, you have the chance to build an integrated department and team. There are a lot of parts to fit together in this puzzle - external communications / PR, public affairs, and internal communications. Creating a good flow between these divisions and guiding Oatly’s strategic communications for the general public and other key audiences is what you will take on responsibility for.

This is a senior role. You will report directly to the President of EMEA, Johan Girdo, and collaborate with a dotted line to Åsa Ragnar, the Global Chief Communications Officer. You will sit as part of the leadership team of Oatly’s EMEA business, as well as on the Global Comms leadership team. You will work closely with others to communicate Oatly’s unique narrative of sustainability, science, nutrition and global hyper growth in the competitive plant-based food business, while also creating enthusiasm in diverse audiences.

Oatly believes in working cross-functionally, so you will work collaboratively with a lot of different departments and regions outside of Comms! You will structure our flow of communications, tapping into the business needs of Oatly, but also help build a strong EMEA culture internally by sharing stories.

Are you the Oat we’re looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and inspiring leader that welcomes ambiguity as an opportunity to move forward and is comfortable with change. There’s a lot of it here! You dare to try different things but are also happy to admit failure and learn more. You are a team-builder that believes in making your colleagues feel at home and encourages learning. Collaboration is in your nature, and you have an outstanding track record in building strong, durable networks. You’ve orchestrated creative, proactive, and measurably successful communications plans.

Other key competencies & experiences:

Minimum of 10 years experience in corporate communications or public relations. You have had responsibility for the strategy and management of external and internal communications at an enterprise level.

Demonstrated success in developing a multi-faceted narrative and using creative vehicles to embed the narrative in the consciousness of key audiences, resulting in a measurable difference.

Experience working with decentralized, global organizations, and a proven ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.

A background building infrastructure, processes, and procedures. You’ve structured teams and roles in an agile and entrepreneurial environment.

Not a must but great if you have Agency experience

As we act in a truly global setting, your communication skills in English must be excellent, both verbally and in writing.

And last but not the least, we would like to see an understanding and interest in digital and traditional technology, applications and processes.
