The primary responsibilities will include: Design of marine and utility systems, P & ID development, prepares technical specification/data sheets.Development of piping and valve specifications for offshore applications, mainly marine service but in some cases also hydrocarbon process.Stress calculations.Flow calculations.Piping and equipment layout (normally in PDMS).Development of detail drawings System engineering (P&ID development).Inspection, mechanical completion and commissioning at shipyards and other sites around the world. Profile We are looking for a person that has a genuine interest in the offshore oil and gas industry.You should enjoy being involved in tackling technical challenges and problem solving in a team environment.The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include: Completion of a B. Sc.or a M.Sc.in Mechanical engineering, Naval architecture or similar.At least 6-10 years experience of relevant piping engineering experience, preferably from marine systems, oil/cargo handling or drilling systems.Design experience from offshore and/or petrochemical applications.Long and recent design experience with PDMS.Long experience with piping stress calculations.Good knowledge about piping design standards.Documented experience from development of piping and valve classes.Experience from detail design and construction of piping systems.Self starter with a hands-on approach.Communicates fluently in both English and Swedish.Initiate actions to progress work and takes appropriate action to meet challenging goals, schedules or business needs.Takes personal responsibility for own career path by actively seeking development opportunities.Question the effectiveness of current systems and processes and looks for ways to improve on them.Mentors others in self development by sharing experiences of both previous successes and failures.Join us and you will be part of a dynamic team of professionals who understand what it takes to get a job done and has the experience, knowledge and determination to succeed!For more information, or if you want to apply, visit our website www.gvac.se
