The primary responsibilities will include: Work with load conditions Track weight and CoG for hull and/or complete Unit Interface to engineering disciplines and/or delivery teams Lead weight saving activities Review weight/equipment lists Benchmark other projects Track temporary weights Assist company in studies Maintain the GVA weight database The weight control engineer will be involved in all part of projects, such as FEED, detail design/fabrication, hull sizing process, concept studies etc. Profile The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include: B.Sc.in Mechanical Engineering or a degree in Marine Engineering is required.Experience of weight control is not a requirement but an advantage.Good knowledge in Excel.Experience from offshore is not a requirement but an advantage.We are looking for someone that are dedicated, ongoing and are willing to learn and develop within weight control.Understands the needs for strategic planning to be translated into execution.Sets own challenging but realistic objectives and goals.Shows active listening in situations are straight forward and asks questions to establish understanding.Takes personal responsibility for own career path by actively seeking development opportunities.Understands own role in using processes to meet objectives.Comfortable with communicating at all levels both within the Arrangement department and with clients.Communicates in both English and Swedish (orally and written) fluently.Join us and you' ll be part of a dynamic team of professionals who understand what it takes to get a job done and has the experience, knowledge and determination to succeed!
